A three-member delegation from the Ghana Institute of Procurement and Supply (GIPS) visited the Executive Director of the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO), COP Maame Yaa Tiwaa Addo-Danquah, to strengthen bonds and explore collaboration opportunities.

GIPS President, Simon Annan, emphasized the need to eradicate the perception of corruption in procurement and highlighted the Institute’s efforts to regulate and sanitize the sector through a proposed Bill.

Anan also offered the Institute’s support in training investigators on procurement-related issues, which could help reduce EOCO’s workload.

EOCO’s Executive Director expressed her readiness to collaborate and proposed signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to formalize the partnership.

The meeting aimed to foster a strong relationship between the two institutions and leverage each other’s expertise to achieve their goals.
