US LBM, a specialty building materials distributor, has appointed Jeff Wood as its Senior Vice President of Supply Chain. Wood will lead the company’s sourcing and procurement strategies, as well as its supply chain operations.

Wood brings extensive experience to the role, having previously worked at Wesco International, Allegion, Schneider Electric, and General Electric. He succeeds Steve Short, who was named Regional VP of Operations for US LBM’s south-central region earlier this year.

According to COO Don Riley, Wood’s expertise will help US LBM strengthen its partnerships and develop best-in-class processes to deliver superior value to customers and suppliers. The appointment comes as US LBM continues to expand its footprint through acquisitions, including recent deals with Raks Building Supply and Automated Products, Inc.
